Simikot Kailash Trek is an amazing Pilgrimage tour in Tibet around Mt. Kailash (6,714m) is the highest peak of the Kailash Himalaya range and lies at the southern part of the Tibet. Mt. Kailash is the most popular Hindu pilgrimage site dedicated to Hindu deity of destruction Lord Shiva.

According to a Hindu holy book it is believed that the Mt. Kailash is the ultimate home of Lord Shiva, where he resides with his wife goddess Gauri. The mountain has religious significant in Hinduism and Buddhism and it is believed to be formed 30 million years ago at the time of the formation of the great Himalaya range.

Mt Kailash is also considered to be the pillar of the world, where the world revolves round it. Mt. Kailash is the most beautiful and majestic mountain in the world. The mountain lies in the isolated Himalaya part wholly into the Tibet. Likewise, Mansarovar is the holiest lake spread out in the Tibetan plateaus in the south west corner of the Tibet (20 kilometer beside Mt. Kailash). This alpine lake is cobalt blue in color but some times during the storm it turns into black.

The surrounding of the lake is filled with the picturesque scenery of the unique vegetation and topography of the Tibetan plateau. It's believed that Mayadevi the mother of Gautama Buddha was made bath in the lake before giving birth to the baby. It is also believed that one who visits the Mt. Kailash and bath in the Mansarovar will wash away all his sins and bring salvation.

Day 07: Trek to Yalbang gompa 2,950m 6/7 hours overnight at Tent.
Day 08: Trek to Tamkot Khola 2,800m 6 ½ hours overnight at Tent.
Day 09: Trek to Thado Dhunga 3,850m 6/7 hours overnight at Tent.
Day 10: Trek & drive to Hilsa 3,720m 7 ½ hours overnight at Tent.
Day 08: Drive to Mansarover Lake 4,560m 5/6 hours overnight at Tent.
Day 09: Rest day in Mansarover 4,560m overnight at Tent.
Day 10: Drive to Tarchen/Darchen overnight at Tent.
Day 11: Drive to Drira Phuk Gompa 5,005m overnight at Tent.
Day 12: Trek via Dolma-La pass 5720m then down to Zutul Phuk gompa 4,820m overnight at Tent.
Day 13: Drive to Trindapuri overnight at Tent.
Day 14: Drive to Horchu 4,550m overnight at Tent.
Day 15: Drive to Saga overnight at Tent.
Day 16: Drive to Nyalam overnight at Tent.
Day 17: Drive back to Kathmandu overnight at Hotel with Bed & Breakfast plan.
Day 18: Free day in Katmandu evening dinner in Typical Nepali Culture overnight at Hotel.
