Upper Mustang is known as a mystique valley and the last forbidden kingdom of Nepal. This region was restricted for outsiders until Nepal government announced the opening of the restricted areas in 1991.

Upper Mustang trek is a great adventure for those who wish to make a challenging trek along off beaten path, in the Trans Himalayan region. The high desert region of the Tibetan influence, Kaligandaki from the Tibetan border to Kagbeni is generally referred as Upper Mustang trek. . Lo Manthang is the capital of Mustang. Explore the thousands years of old monastery, caves, local tribes and scenic beauties of the different landscapes.

Make an adventure starting from world’s deepest gorge Kaligandaki region into world’s highest region of Lo Manthang valley. That passes through an almost tree less barren landscapes, high peaks, glaciers, alpine valleys, a steep rocky trail up and down hill and panoramic views of Nilgiri, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and several other peaks.

The thousands years of isolation has kept the culture, life style and heritage remain unchanged for centuries to this time. The houses in Mustang are mostly made from stone and baked mud bricks and Mustang is very similar to Tibetan village. The city wall and four storey palaces in Lo Manthang are some of the beautiful architectures of Mustang region.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu Allied Adventure family will welcome you and then transfer to the hotel with BB plan and overnight stay.
Day 2: Sightseeing around the Kathmandu Valley and trek preparation.
Day 3: Flight/drive to Pokhara 6hrs by road and 25 minutes by air.
Day 4: Flight to Jomsom and trek from Jomsom to Kagbeni (2810m).
Day 5: Trek from Kagbeni to Chele (3050m).
Day 6: Trek from Chele to Samar.
Day 7: Trek from Samar to Syangmochen.
Day 8: Trek from Syangmochen to Ghami (3460m).
Day 9: Trek from Ghami to Tsarang (3560m).
Day 10: Trek from Tsarang to Lo Manthang (3730m).
Day 11: Rest day at Lo Manthang visit the monasteries, King’s palace and museum.
Day 12: Back to Drakmar from Lo Manthang.
Day 13: Back to Syangmochen.
Day 14: Back to Samar.
Day 15: Back to Chele.
Day 16: Back to Jomsom.
Day 17: Flight to Pokhara/ Flight/drive backt to Kathmandu.
Day 18: Rest day at Kathmandu and evening farewell dinner with typical Nepali cuisine.
Day 19: Departure to your onward destination.
