The path begins in ancient Kathmandu, where you'll acclimate and explore the city at your leisure while anticipating your ascent. Your trek to Everest Base Camp at 5,364m (over 3.5 miles!) to the base of the world's tallest mountain will bring you over suspension bridges spanning chasms of thin air, through hidden Buddhist monasteries, and into the heart of the warm, rugged Sherpa culture.

As you travel alongside thrill seekers and photographers from all over the globe, you'll spy Choyu, Lhotse, and Makalu - three of Earth's 10 tallest peaks! You'll rest easy at night in cozy, traditional teahouses knowing that our experienced, knowledgeable guides and porters are there to ensure the safest, most enjoyable, most fascinating experience possible. Outline Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Sightseeing around the valley and trek preparation.
Day 3: Early morning fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2850m) and then trek to Phakding (2600m)
Day 4: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazzar (3440m)
Day 5: Acclimatization in Namche
Day 6: Trek from Namche to Tengboche (3800m)
Day 7: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4400m)
Day 8: Acclimatization day in Dingboche
Day 9: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4950m)
Day 10: Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep (5160m). Hike to Everest Base Camp (5365m) and back to Gorakshep.
Day 11: Early morning hiking to Kalapathar (5545m) and trek back to Pheriche (4240m)
Day 12: Trek back to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
Day 13: Trek back to Lukla (2800m)
Day 14: Early morning fly back to Kathmandu (1300m) from Lukla
Day 15: Departure to your onward destination.

#An experienced, English-speaking and government-licensed trek leader and assistant trek #leader (4 trekkers: 1 assistant guide)
